about this WaterHaven
Address: 16713 Maplewild Ave SW, Burien 98166 (southwest Seattle) (map)
Community and General Area: Three Tree Point is a historic secluded waterfront community on the west-facing shores of Puget Sound in Burien, located at the southwest corner of Seattle. It is only 10 minutes to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Seattle, and is a hidden enclave for those who understand waterfront value and convenience. The community is very quiet, and many people don't know that - unlike the rest of the Seattle area - Three Tree Point has little to no airplane noise from the airport because of topography and it is not in the flight pattern. Three Tree Point is accessed by scenic, tree-lined, little-traveled waterfront lanes on both sides of the point. Beach walks are possible for miles in both directions, and at highest tide the community access Indian Trail still provides wonderful, peaceful walking opportunities all around the Point and away from roads.
Views: Views are expansive and ever changing, looking due west for incredible sunsets over Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountain range, shipping channels, West Seattle, Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island, whales, seals, birds, and the vibrant waterfront beach living at your own private beach.
Waterfront: 76 feet of walk-out low bank waterfront west facing Puget Sound beach. The private beach extends quite far at low tide.
Beach: Wide sandy pebble beach that extends for miles in both directions, including access south around Seahurst Park, Three Tree Point, and all the way to Normandy Park and beyond, plus access north up to West Seattle.
